Woof Acres is located on 16 peaceful acres in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Surrounded by quiet woodlands and open farm fields, our rural setting provides a safe, spacious environment where dogs can explore, stretch their legs, and simply enjoy being dogs.

My name is Danie. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have had a lifelong love for dogs. I am certified in Pet First Aid, CPR, and Veterinary Technology. My goal has always been to provide the kind of care I would want for my own dogs , personalized attention, a calm and clean environment, and lots of outdoor time. Because Woof Acres is a small facility, I am able to focus on each dog individually and pay close attention to their routines, comfort, and wellbeing. I truly love getting to know each pup’s unique personality and quirks. Watching dogs settle in, gain confidence, make friends, and enjoy their stay is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
My husband, Paul, is a Wisconsin native and Marine Corps veteran who works for the City of Eau Claire. He helps in the evenings and on weekends and is a big part of what keeps everything running smoothly at Woof Acres.
We began in 2015 as a small, in-home pet-sitting service—created so our own dogs could enjoy companionship throughout the day and never have to be left alone. Over the years, we’ve welcomed well over 100 dogs into our home, each one cared for with the same love and attention as our own.
In 2025, we went through the extensive process with Dunn County Zoning and the Board of Adjustment to secure all the necessary permits to build and operate a small commercial kennel right here on our property. Our mission has always been simple: to give dogs room to run, fresh air to breathe, and endless opportunities to explore, play, and truly be dogs.
Every dog who stays with us becomes part of our story, and part of our family.
