At our small, home-based kennel, we prioritize quality over quantity. I intentionally choose not to fill the kennel to capacity—this allows me to maintain a high standard of care, so every dog gets the attention they truly deserve. Fewer dogs means more one-on-one time, less noise, and a more peaceful environment. 

We’re not a high-volume boarding facility—and that’s by design. With just 10 suites, we’re able to focus on each dog’s individual needs, ensuring every guest receives personalized care in a calm, comfortable setting. • Spacious 6x6 Suites –  Each suite is designed for comfort, featuring an elevated Kuranda bed, soft bedding, a window for natural light, and plenty of space for your dog to stretch out and relax. 

•  The Big Woof Suite - A spacious 72 sq. ft. retreat designed for large breeds or families.

• Heated Floors –  Our radiant floor heating provides consistent warmth, ensuring your dog stays comfortable and relaxed all winter long.  
   
• Air Conditioning – Our climate-controlled kennel keeps your dog cool, comfortable, and relaxed during the summer heat. 

• Pupdates – We send daily photo, video, and text updates while your pup is here. A fun report card goes home at the end of their stay!
   
• Clean, Healthy Air –  With the help of our air purifier, we keep the air fresh, clean, and comfortable by reducing allergens, odors, and airborne particles.  
   
• Laundry Service – If you bring bedding from home, we’ll wash your dog’s blankets or beds during their stay and return them clean and fresh.
   
• Safety Features –  Your dog’s safety is our top priority. Because we operate in a home-based setting, we’re able to provide around-the-clock supervision. Whether it’s a late-night tuck-in or immediate response to an unexpected situation, we're always nearby to ensure your dog’s well-being. For your peace of mind, the kennel is equipped with fire and smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and 24/7 camera surveillance in every suite—so your dog stays safe, secure, and well-monitored at all times.

For the safety of all our guests, we require up-to-date vaccination records for the following:

• Rabies: Must be current within 1 or 3 years, according to your veterinarian’s recommendation.
   
• DHLPP/DHPP (Distemper/Parvo): Must be current within 1 or 3 years. Puppies must have completed their third round of vaccinations before boarding.
   

Since we’re located in a beautiful rural area where ticks are more common, we strongly recommend that all dogs are on a flea and tick preventative.
 

Guests are taken out to the play yard multiple times a day for potty breaks, exercise, and one-on-one playtime. 

Breakfast is served at 6:00 AM, and dinner is served at 5:00 PM.

With your permission—and when I feel it’s a good fit—your dog may join in supervised group play with other boarding guests or our own resident dogs.

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, group play is limited to pups who are friendly, social, and comfortable interacting with others.

We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times and are happy to accommodate your schedule.

We ask that you send a text about 10 minutes before you arrive so we can safely bring pups inside or give them space as needed — this helps keep everyone calm and comfortable.

Woof Acres is a home environment, and we often have multiple dogs on the property who need to be separated during arrivals and departures.

At this time, we are not offering traditional daycare, as we’re dedicating our full time and attention to our overnight boarding guests.

However, we do offer day boarding based on availability — perfect for pups (especially puppies) who need a safe, comfortable place to spend the day.

Drop off in the morning and pick up before 5 PM.    
 

We love meeting new clients and encourage you to schedule a tour of our kennel before your pup boards with us.

Even better — bring your dog along! It’s a great way for them to get comfortable with the sights, sounds, and smells of our space.

Please Note:

Tours are available by appointment only so we can give you our full attention and maintain a calm, relaxed environment for our current guests. Each tour lasts approximately 15 minutes to allow me to return promptly to caring for the dogs in my care. 

We gladly accept Cash, Venmo, and PayPal—please use whichever method is most convenient for you.

We do not charge a cancellation fee. We understand that life happens and plans can change, even at the last minute. We simply ask that you notify us as soon as possible if your plans change.

All dogs are welcome at Woof Acres, regardless of whether they are spayed or neutered. However, we are unable to accommodate females in heat, as this can create stress and distraction for other guests. 

Absolutely! We understand that not all dogs are social or comfortable around other dogs — and that’s perfectly okay. 

At Woof Acres, we offer individualized care and can easily accommodate dogs who prefer their own space. Your dog will have a private suite, separate playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. We tailor each guest’s routine to their comfort level to ensure they feel safe, calm, and cared for during their stay.

The only requirement is that your dog can be safely handled for feeding, cleaning, and potty breaks.

Yes, please. Suddenly changing your dog’s diet can cause stomach upset, diarrhea, or vomiting. To help avoid unnecessary stress during their stay, we ask that you bring your dog’s regular food from home.

Please pack it in a sealed container or the original manufacturer’s bag to keep it fresh and secure during boarding.

We’re happy to administer oral or topical medications at no extra charge. Please bring all medications in their original packaging with clear dosage instructions so we can ensure your pup stays on schedule and receives the proper care. 

If your pet requires medical care during their stay, we’ll first attempt to contact you and your designated veterinarian. If we’re unable to reach either of you, we’ll transport your pet to the nearest open veterinary clinic to ensure they receive timely care. In the event of a serious emergency, your pet will be taken directly to Allied Veterinary Emergency in Eau Claire for immediate treatment.

You’re welcome to bring your dog’s favorite toys, blanket, or even their crate—anything that helps them feel relaxed during their stay. These items will remain in your pup’s individual suite for their comfort, and we’ll wash everything before sending it home.

Yes! Woof Acres is fully insured and operates under a Conditional Use Permit through Dunn County, which authorizes us to run a commercial kennel on our property.

We take the responsibility of caring for your pets very seriously. Maintaining proper licensing and insurance ensures we meet — and exceed — all required safety and care standards.
