At Woof Acres, we prioritize quality over quantity. By keeping our guest numbers small, we’re able to provide more one-on-one attention, less noise, and a calmer, more comfortable environment. With just 10 suites, we can truly get to know each dog and tailor their stay to their individual needs, personality, and routine.

Our daily boarding rate includes the essentials your dog needs for a comfortable stay—medication administration, an elevated bed and blanket, additional feedings when needed, and plenty of outdoor playtime—all at no additional charge. We believe these are essentials of quality care, not add-ons.

Our goal is simple: to provide a safe, peaceful, and caring home-away-from-home where every dog is treated as an individual. If you’re looking for personalized care in a smaller, quieter setting, we’d love to welcome your pup to Woof Acres.

• Spacious 6x6 Suites – Each suite is thoughtfully designed with your dog’s comfort in mind, featuring an elevated Kuranda bed,  a window for natural light, a glass door for an open, airy feel, and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. 

• Air Quality & Ventilation
  Our facility utilizes an iAdaptAir® 2.0 five-stage air purification system featuring a medical-grade HEPA filter. It helps reduce mold, bacteria, viruses, odors, allergens, and other airborne contaminants. The system covers up to 1,325 square feet in just 30 minutes, providing five complete air exchanges per hour to maintain a clean, healthy environment for every dog in our care. 

• Heated Floors –  Our radiant floor heating provides consistent warmth, ensuring your dog stays comfortable and relaxed all winter long.  
   
• Air Conditioning – Our climate-controlled kennel keeps your dog cool, comfortable, and relaxed during the summer heat. 

• Pupdates – We send daily photo, video, and text updates while your pup is here. A fun report card goes home at the end of their stay!
   
• Safety Features –  Your dog’s safety is our top priority. Because we operate in a home-based setting, we’re able to provide around-the-clock supervision. Whether it’s a late-night tuck-in or immediate response to an unexpected situation, we're always nearby to ensure your dog’s well-being. For your peace of mind, the kennel is equipped with fire and smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and 24/7 camera surveillance in every suite—so your dog stays safe, secure, and well-monitored at all times.

With your permission—and when I feel it’s a good fit—your dog may join in supervised group play with other boarding guests.

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, group play is limited to pups who are friendly, social, and comfortable interacting with others.

Required vaccinations include:

• Rabies
  Must be current in accordance with your veterinarian’s recommendation (1-year or 3-year vaccine).
   
• DHPP / DHLPP (Distemper & Parvovirus)
  Must be current (1-year or 3-year vaccine).
  Puppies must have completed their third DHPP/DHLPP vaccination prior to boarding.
   
• Flea & Tick Prevention
  Due to our rural location and the increased exposure to fleas and ticks, all dogs are required to be on a veterinarian-approved flea and tick preventative during their stay. 

No, we do not offer doggie daycare. Our focus is solely on our overnight boarding guests, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve while maintaining a calm, relaxing environment throughout their stay.

 

Yes! Woof Acres is fully licensed and insured and operates under a Conditional Use Permit through Dunn County, which authorizes us to run a commercial kennel on our property.

We also carry a business insurance policy through State Farm that helps protect our kennel, our property, and the dogs staying with us.

We take the responsibility of caring for your pets very seriously. Maintaining proper licensing and insurance helps ensure we meet — and exceed — all required safety and care standards.

Our coverage helps protect both your pet and our facility, giving you peace of mind knowing your dog is in responsible, professional hands.

All dogs are welcome at Woof Acres, regardless of whether they are spayed or neutered. However, we are unable to accommodate females in heat, as this can create stress for other guests. 

Yes. Suddenly changing your dog’s diet can cause stomach upset, diarrhea, or vomiting. To help avoid unnecessary stress during their stay, we ask that you bring your dog’s regular food from home.

Please pack your dog's food in a sealed container, or pre-portion it into individual Ziplock bags for each meal. This helps keep the food fresh, organized, and secure during your dog's stay with us. 

You're welcome to bring your dog's favorite toys, blanket, or other comfort items to help them feel relaxed and at home during their stay. These items will remain in your pup's individual suite for their comfort, and we will wash washable items before sending them home.

Please do not bring oversized items that cannot be washed in our washer and dryer. We also ask that you avoid bringing sentimental or irreplaceable items, as dogs may chew, damage, or destroy personal belongings during their stay.

While we do our best to care for your dog's belongings, Woof Acres is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Safety Guidelines
🚫 For safety reasons, please leave rawhide and rope toys at home, as they can pose a choking hazard.

We’re happy to administer oral or topical medications at no extra charge. Please bring all medications in their original packaging with clear dosage instructions so we can ensure your pup stays on schedule and receives the proper care. 

If your pet requires medical care during their stay, we’ll first attempt to contact you and your designated veterinarian. If we’re unable to reach either of you, we’ll transport your pet to the nearest open veterinary clinic to ensure they receive timely care. In the event of a serious emergency, your pet will be taken directly to Allied Veterinary Emergency in Eau Claire for immediate treatment.

We do not charge a cancellation fee. We understand that life happens and plans can change, even at the last minute. We simply ask that you notify us as soon as possible if your plans change.
